Barefoot Across America to Raise $100 Million For Homeless Youth

I just have to tell you about this.

It has to be the coolest thing I’ve heard about in a very long time.

Tellman Knudson “Internet Marketing Guru” is running across America to raise $100 million for homeless youth and in true ‘Tellman style’ he’s doing it BAREFOOT!

I can’t even walk down the driveway barefoot. Can you?

You see he is embarking on a 3,200 mile run from New York to LA, barefoot. He’s doing this to draw attention to and raise money for homeless and at-risk youth.

He starts his run on September 9, 2009 in NYC’s Battery Park and will finish on the Santa Monica Pier in California. He has a 9 member crew, that he personally pays. As a matter of fact he’s paying for everything. Not one penny of the money raised will be used for expenses of the run.

Instead, 100% of all proceeds will go directly to tellman.org and distributed to the ones who really need it!

I can only imagine what a challenge it’s going to be for him! You just have to admire the courage and commitment it is going to take.

I heard tale of this adventure a few months ago and I thought to myself “how cool is that” but, then it never crossed my mind again until today, when I was clicking around on Twitter to see what everybody was up to.

It made me wonder, how often do we let good things go unmentioned?

Well, not today! Today I am going to tell you about Tellman and his incredible quest to help in a way that most of us would never dream of doing. Not because we don’t want to help, but because often it requires a lot of personal sacrifice. Which is something that seems to be lost on most of today’s society.

I’m not pointing fingers. Don’t get mad at me. I’m guilty too!

I was just saying to my sister yesterday, I really should take the time to do more. To give back! I really am blessed in so many ways and there are so many people on the planet who don’t even have enough to eat or a place to sleep that it makes my heart weep.

So, today I may not be able to fly off and join Tellman on his quest, but I can tell you about it, I can help spread the word and I can make a commitment to do more, help more and try to make a difference at least in a small way for someone today.
