Are you sick and tired of trying to grow your business on your own? I know exactly where you're coming from! I've been a solo entrepreneur since I decided to be a stay at home mom a little over 18 years ago.
I'll be honest it hasn't always been sunshine and roses. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but I have never once regretted my decision to give up working full time in order to be there and watch my daughter grow to the beautiful young lady she is today.
Even though I've been at this for a long time until recently that I realized I wasn't really seeing the success that I knew deep down in my heart was possible for my business and as I've gone through the process of rediscovering my business goals I've come to the realization that even though I pride myself as being a lone business woman capable of handling anything, my business hasn't reached its full potential because I've kept to myself, in my safe little bubble, doing my thing.
Well I'm here to tell you it's time to stop living on an island of one. It’s time to grow your business with people who can help you achieve your goals and dreams. Lately it's been like a hammer hitting me in the head and it's a message that needs to be shared you're not in this alone!
There are other people in the world just like you, just like me who want to be successful. They want to be fantastic bloggers, profitable affiliate marketers, awesome coaches and until we step out of our comfort zones, start meeting and networking with them the level of success we're hoping for is always going to be just out of our reach.
That is why I'm so excited to tell you about the Exposure & Profit live event coming up in July. It is hosted by the awesome Kelly McCausey, a lovely lady that I have been following for quite a while now. She is also solo entrepreneur as well as the creator Solo Smarts and the Stretch Yourself Challenge!
Just in case you aren’t familiar with her she’s a single mom who has built her own successful business from at home, which is exactly what I have been doing for the last 18 years. She is well respected and has established herself as a fearless leader in her community of loyal followers.
She launched Work at Home Mom Talk Radio in 2003 where she discovered the power of using content to build a community. As it grew it was rebranded as Solo Smarts. She also creates her own information products, but her real passion is helping people build their business and working one on one with coaching clients. This is her third time hosting this EP3 and according to her raving fans it just gets better every year.

After a yummy lunch you’ll learn how to connect and create transformation in your business as well as how to attract and retain the buyers brain for more profits.

will be the last awesome opening session followed by small group masterminds and a creative marketing strategies workshop that will teach you how to get customers that buy!

Now for a little more of Kelly's back story. Even though she started her business in 2002 she never traveled to a live event until 2009. Before that she would watch online, see her friends go and admittedly feel left out and a little green with envy.
Which again resonates with my story because I have been at home raising my fabulous daughter, working away (alone) and haven’t had the opportunity to attend this or any live event yet. However, I am coming to the realization that networking and going to live events like EP3 are a very important part of growing your business.
"Sure you can do it without them, but why?"
I’ve always pushed these types of events to the backburner. I told myself I was too busy, I couldn’t leave my daughter, it was in in my budget, it's not for me but in all honesty it’s been fear. The fear of stepping outside of my comfort zone. After all I’ve spent years building a cozy little cocoon for myself and my business.
Does this sound familiar?
Don’t get me wrong I love working at home and I wouldn’t change the opportunity’s it’s is provided me, but it can be isolating, especially when you’ve been doing it for a long time.
The longer I do this than more I understand how important it is to get to know other people in your industry, build relationships and network with like-minded people and YES spend time socializing face-to-face even when you’re scared and it feels like it’s not something you need to do to grow your business, because it’s not true!
Close your eyes and imagine for a minute how fast your business could grow by getting to know people who share common goals and how those experiences could make a real difference to your success.
It could be the chance to meet people you’ve worked or done business with if in the past. it could be an opportunity to meet new people, forge new relationships and meet joint ventures partners that will help you propel your business to new heights.
One thing that Kelly teaches that sticks in my mind is a common mistake that is made by many solo entrepreneurs (I know I’m guilty) It’s not promoting ourselves enough.
We create content but we don't put it out there for people to see and even worse we don't make sure that there's a call to action that leads to money. We’re too passive and we end up not getting the results we know can.
I bring that up because it has been the focus of the event over the last two years and will definitely carry over to this year.
There will also be a lot of talk about building relationships and growing a community with the idea that when you put people first and you really try to understand their wants and needs you can offer them creative solutions that meet those needs that they will happily pay for.
